FAQs
FOR OUR PLANTERS:
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY AIRPLANT (TILLANDSIA)?

Airplants are easy to take care of and thrive with bright light, air circulation and regular water.

LIGHT
Airplants love bright but filtered light. They should not be left in the direct sun, which will cause the plant to become sunburned. A great place for your airplants is directly in front of a window.

WATER
Soaking your airplants every other week will keep them happy and meet their water needs. Just submerge your airplant in water overnight. After watering, drain plants with thick fleshy leaves by turning upside down and shaking gently to remove any trapped water. Airplants will not survive in standing water.

AIR CIRCULATION
Following each watering, give your airplants enough light and air circulation to dry in a few hours. Do not keep plants constantly wet or moist, or rot can develop. Completely dry plants before returning to planter.

TEMPERATURE
Airplants grow best in temperatures between 50°- 90° F. Do not expose to freezing temps.

FERTILIZER
Use Bromeliad fertilizer (17-8-22) twice a month. Other water-soluble fertilizers can be used at 1/4 strength (Rapid Grow, Miracle-Grow, etc.) if Bromeliad fertilizer is not available.
