Manatee needs to take a break from Facebook and enjoy some sunshine.
This menacing bear is a towering 7" tall and 6" wide. Made from recycled wool sweaters and handsewn with cotton embroidery floss. Stuffed with eco-friendly ingeo fiber (made from corn. also known as PLA).
Fun Fact:
The West Indian manatee, or sea cow, should no longer be considered endangered, as it seems that Florida populations are making a comeback. As a result, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) proposed to downlist the manatee from an endangered to threatened status under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Yay!

This little manatee is so cute and eco-minded -- what's not to love! The real test, of course, will be when my daughter turns two and this is among her gifts. She is currently obsessed with sea cows (thanks to Sarah & Duck) so we're expecting complete joy. Thank you!
