A sterling silver ring I've carved with two wings extending from two, prong-set, 6mm, faceted heart-shaped stones in red garnet and amethyst. I've carved flames above the hearts that extend up to a bezel-set, 3mm round, faceted rainbow moonstone. The longest part of the ring is 3/4" (1.905cm) and the back, band portion of the piece is 2mm wide. I've applied an antique finish to highlight all the details.

This ring is currently a size 7 1/2, but may be sized from 4-10 including quarter and half sizes. If you would like me to have this sized for you, please let me know your preference in the Note to Seller when checking out.

When I set down to carve this piece, I knew I wanted to make a ring that represented love in all its varied forms. I decided to combine three symbols: the double heart, the winged heart, and the heart on fire.

In the Victorian era, the double heart became a popular motif for wedding rings to represent two souls brought together. The heart on fire, or sacred heart, was traditionally a Christian symbol to represent Christ's divine love for humanity. In the secular world, it has become a symbol of passion, desire, and will. Finally, the winged heart is a popular symbol of freedom, love and ascension. I chose to have the wings arc over and meet in the middle, because the overall shape reminds me of a temple.

As always, my hope is that the wearer will find their own meanings in the symbols.
