This vintage Bugs Bunny toy guitar is dated 1977 and made by Mattel Toys. It is bright red plastic with a metal and plastic crank handle and has a paper face with an image of Bugs eating a carrot as if to pause to ask “what’s up Doc?” This toy got alot of use over the years and shows wear. The music box no longer works, so although you can still turn the crank, you get no “tunes.” The nylon strings are missing, just a remnant of them remains attached to the tuners. The paper surface has started to lift in places so that it no longer lays completely flat against the surface, but has some “bubbles.” There is some staining to the paper surface that I wasn’t able to wipe off (looks like it might be from water or moisture). And the plastic body has some scuffs and scratches on the back (which is stamped U.S.A.). Still, it’s a fun bit of childhood nostalgia for anyone who cut their musical chops on one of these when they were still in training pants.

Measures about 14” (35.5 cm) long, 5” (12.7 cm) wide, and 1 3/8” (3.5 cm) deep.
