Description

"Ce n'est pas une horloge* !" I cried as I opened the neatly wrapped brown package on my drawing room table.
Nor was it a clever explosive device designed to resemble the mantlepiece clock that Dr. Sombra promised to send. But I had donned my antique chain cuirass, padded gambeson, lancer's helmet, cricket shin guards and welder's gloves just in case. Who knew what Jackanapery the good professor was capable of?

But I was pleasantly surprised. It was a handsome wooden mantlepiece clock case with an extradimensional entity trapped inside!

Possessed of multiple baleful eyes, writhing, ropy tentacles, and toothy orafices permanately agape, this creature was such a delightful distraction that I completely forgot my need for a timepiece.

However, it does seem a bit cramped in its wooden prison. Perhaps a little fresh air would improve its demeanor.
There is a tiny latch on its glass bezel...

All mantlepiece monstrosities will come ensconced in a wooden mantlepiece clock case. These cases will vary in design depending on availability, so your case may not look just like the one pictured (but it will be just as magnificent.)

*this is not a clock!
