Description

A nice piece of antique, Victorian sterling silver. This loose tea strainer/infuser was made by the Webster Company in 1910. The pattern is WSC19 (STERLING). The handle is sterling with scroll edge and vases. The Webster Company, in North Attleboro, Ma. was founded in 1869 by George K. Webster. The company made items for customers of means or the "well-to-do". Webster's hallmark is the letter "W" with a feathered arrow flying through its center, from left to right. Art Nouveau style, Victorian sterling silver. There are a couple of dings in the handle but, they are not bad at all. The total length of spoon measures 7"long, with the bowl measuring 1 & 1/4" x 1 & 7/8". The bowl has a very nice patina, and may need a little adjusting, but it does stay closed when snapped shut. The silver handle is not tarnished.
