up for your consideration is this lovely little old frying pan made by L.F. Grammes & Sons. i've never seen one quite like it. this pan has a hinged lid that is embossed with a delicate floral design and attached is a finely crafted wooden handle. it measures 9 and a half inches long with handle, the pan is 6 inches in diameter. the lid of the pan shows signs of wear, it is scratched and tarnished. the hinge operates smoothly and the wooden handle is attached firmly. this pan was used quite a bit, and the inside is now tarnished green. i don't know what to use to clean it because i'm scared i would ruin it, so this pan is being offer "as is" the way i found it.

on the bottom of the pan is stamped "grammes". after doing some research i discovered that L.F. Grammes & Sons worked in Allentown PA from 1892 to the 1960s. the roots of the company go back to 1875 when Lewis Grammes first opened a machine shop in Allentown. the company manufactured a wide range of metal products over the years from hinges to bookends, and apparently also this super swell frying pan.
