Description

An ancient Shaiva ritual cut Trika of Kashmir, North India.
The 7-pointed star base in symbolism of the 7 chakras, perforated with triangles. Ancient of the end of the XIX ème century
Kashmir Shaivism (or Trika tradition) is a non-dual current of Shaivism, and is, along with the dual school Shaiva Siddhanta, one of the two main currents.
It is made of heavy and openworked red copper. It is an altarpiece used for offering: herbs, flowers, incense, food ... In very good condition it is a rare piece, for collectors and lovers of tribal art of North India
Height: 11.5 cm, diameter: 11.5 cm, weight: 600 grams
