Description

With colors inspired by my son’s Pacific Parrotlet, this blanket will fly off your hook with color, texture and whimsy. It’s got a rhythmic stitch pattern that is fun to work with a fabulous result.

The pattern includes:
~Thoroughly tested written pattern instructions in US terms to make two sizes of blanket (crib-sized or throw)
~Complete materials list including the colors used in this blanket. (There are 11 colors--1 skein of each for the smaller crib-sized blanket shown here, and 2 skeins of each for the larger throw (which has 4 squares across the bottom).
~Stitch abbreviations (US terms), special stitches and notes sections.
~Photos and written portions of the join-as-you-go process for the squares to the blanket, as well as several photos for attaching the tassels.
~A placement diagram for positioning of the squares.

Skill Level: Intermediate due to the join-as-you-go method used (photos included to assist, if needed)

Materials:
~1 skein each of 11 colors for small blanket and 2 skeins each of 11 colors for throw of premium acrylic DK, but you may use color and weight that you prefer (2716 - 4075 yards /2484 - 3726 m)
~G (4mm) hook

Stitches: sc, dc, ch, sl st, FPCl (detailed in pattern)

Dimensions:
Small Blanket (crib-sized) w/o tassels = 36in X 46in (91.5cm X 117cm)
Large Blanket (throw) w/o tassels = 54in X 60in (137cm X 153cm)
