Angora Goat Fibres Mohair

This listing is for 60 grams of 1st class angora fibre in a white colour, with a tint of creame. The fibre length is 12-17 cm. No felted fibres.

If you buy more than one bag at one time, I will make sure it is all from the same goat and from the same clipping.

Angora fibres are one of the warmest wools available since they are so thin and have an air channel inside. Air isolates! Angora wool is also fantastically soft and can be used for spinning or felting.

This fleece has been picked through by hand to try to remove foreign matter and debris picked up in the field. It was washed several times in hot water with the all natural line of wool wash.

Mohair from YarnRus is hand sheared twice per year from holistic pasture-raised animals -- it is 100% natural! We raise our sheep and goats without the use of hormones or unnecessary antibiotics and they graze on lush grass grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizer. Our herd of colored angora goats range in color from cream to taupe to silver, with some black and red animals as well. They are lovingly raised and their fiber humanely sheared.

Happy spinning!

* Please keep in mind that my animals are pasture raised and are not covered. We do heavily skirt my fleeces to remove second cuts, debris, and soiled fiber. However, some minor amounts of small VM may make it through. I scour each of my fleeces separately, but as a whole fleece -- We do not wash individual locks, so combing / brushing or other prep may be needed before use as doll hair.

Ideal for spinning a super soft and warm yarn!
