living without fear
to care for the refugee
victory garden

Victory Garden is from my Atmospheric Haiku series, a body of work that centers on matters of social injustice. Each image reflects a haiku written to direct and remind us of the beautiful, powerful work of justice we are invited to personally be a part of.

In the case of this encaustic painting, it is the justice of caring for the wander, the foreigner, and the stranger, the refugee, the immigrant. As a person of faith, I take this invitation very seriously and because of my Hope, this painting has led me and many others to great joy. We are nourished by the dreams, ideas, creativity, and culture that immigrants have planted within the figurative soil of the United States. Victory Garden - for everyone.

This image is part of The Commissions Project - 50% of the proceeds from each print go directly to Arrive Ministries, a refugee resettlement organization in Minnesota. Minnesota remains near the top among states for refugee resettlement in the U.S. Beauty will save the world! Your purchase champions the cause of the marginalized - art for the common good.

This listing is for an 8x10, 13x19 or a 17x22 inch limited edition fine art giclee print of an original oil painting. It is titled and hand-signed by the artist. It has been printed with the highest archival standards and the quality is impeccable. Each image includes an visually balanced border with room to accommodate the signature, title and number (if limited edition). See photos for details.

The artwork is printed on museum quality, archival, 100% cotton rag fine art paper using an Epson Stylus Pro 7890 with archival inks.

Prints are shipped in a protective cellophane sleeve with a foam core backing and mailed in a flat and sturdy mailer or tube, depending on size.

I love to please! Let me know what I can do for you. I'm happy to answer questions, discuss new projects with you, or help you begin a conversation about a commission. Don't hesitate to drop me a line.

I have been eyeing these prints for awhile now and am so glad I ordered them as gifts. They are beautifully simple and poetic. Natalie was also very generous with me due to a shipping delay that was not even her fault. What a wonderful artist and businesswoman!
