I used this pattern for my son’s newborn pictures. It was so easy to follow and turned out adorable! I couldn’t find the suggested white yarn, so I used a different but similar kind and it still turned out great. I also changed the colors of the hat and scarf to accommodate yarn I already had. I also crocheted the eyes, mouth and buttons instead of using actual buttons.

Pattern was very easy to follow and was able to be done in one sitting! It just personally wasn't my favorite mermaid pattern.
