One knitting pattern, infinite options. All of the coin purses shown start with one basic pattern, and they are finished using different techniques, giving each purse a totally different look. This photo-illustrated pattern is a great way to learn how to make a French knot, an I cord, and how to install a zipper. It also describes a totally innovative technique in which yarn is "inlaid" between knit layers before felting, creating a pattern that looks as if its been etched right into the felt.

MATERIALS
One unlined coin purse requires 90 yards of 100% wool yarn, worsted
weight (220 yds/3.5oz). You will need size 10 straight knitting needles, and if you are doing a design with an I-cord, you’ll also need size 10 double point needles. You will also need a 6” zipper, or a longer
zipper that you cut down to size.
