****A portion of this sale will be donated to The American Cancer Society in honor of my Aunt Vicky*****

Over the past few months I've been surrounded by people fighting cancer and I've heard there stories of treatment after treatment, the chemo making them feel so tired, so ill and sometimes feeling so alone in that chair.

Just recently it hit home and my dear Aunt was diagnosed with brain cancer. I live in PA while the rest of my family is in MD. My Mother can't visit as much as she'd like with her Sister because she's busy taking care of their Mother, my Grandmother. So, I wanted to create something so that in her room recovering or sitting in that chair for hours with another bout of chemo or a return visit in the hospital - we could all be with her.

Pillow People are the simplest most easy way to share not only a photo of a favorite person (or pooch!) but also an easy way for them to hug that person, talk to that person. When my grandmother can't be with her, my Aunt can still have that conversation face-to-face.

Think outside of Cancer, too - Pillow People aren't just for those struggling with their health, but also for those struggles of the heart...when you're missing someone or going to miss someone. I was so touched to recently create some pillows for three kiddos that were going to have to say goodbye to their Daddy for awhile. My heart felt so heavy for them. Then a mother ordered a pillow for her son's coming home party - part of a centerpiece where they had me use his 'cheesy military mustache' photo. My heart was so happy for her.

AN UPDATE: For whatever, the reason - happy or sad, I always feel very honored to be a part of the occasion. Genuinely proud to have something I create used to show love for others...because the very reason I created the first one was to show someone who I so loved (my Aunt Vicky was the best! the best!) that I loved her. In a full circle it creates for me another way to honor her. For that I am so, so thankful.

You can purchase a few for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, a birthday for Great Grandma and STILL donate to a great cause.

Ordering is easy. No two pillows are alike. Soft-filling, hearts and buttons are securely attached. Photo is 3" in diameter on the large, 1.5" diameter on the small.

Small: $10 Large $12

Here's what I need:
