Description

My reverse painted, cut and pierced 3 ruby throated hummingbirds design is the perfect pattern for lampshades with bottom diameters 14" and up. Reverse painted cut and pierced shades only show their colors when the light is turned on--when your lamp is off, the shade will look like a white paper shade. You can order this design with blue flowers or pink flowers.
Lots of cut work and piercings make this design so much fun to make. Much easier than trying to get hummingbirds to come to your feeder (I haven't had much luck with hummingbirds!)
I measure my lampshades by the top diameter x bottom diameter x actual side length. If your shades' measurements are different than what I have listed, please send me a conversation--I may be able to make the exact size you need.
All of the shades are made with a washer top fitting which means your lamp must have a harp for the shade to sit on. Pictured lamp is for display only but you may contact me if you are interested in purchasing the entire fillable recycled glass lamp base with shade.

Residents of Hawaii and Alaska:
Due to the increase in shipping rates from UPS, FedEx and USPS, I cannot ship large items to HI and Alaska at my listed rates. However, Lampshades with a bottom diameter of 10" or less, can be shipped at regular USPS Priority rates. It can be confusing, so please contact me first at shades@maine.rr.com or send me a conversation on the item you are interested in (this is only for residents of Alaska and HI.)
I ship most of my lamps and lampshades using Priority mail or USPS select ground rates. Large boxes will most likely ship using USPS Select Ground to such regions as in the south, midwest and west. Select Ground can take 7 to 9 days delivery time but it is the most cost effective way to ship.
Maine residents are subject to 5.5 % sales tax.
Ordering through Etsy allows you to choose various purchasing options but If you prefer to talk to me in person and place an order, please call me at 207-774-0740, M-F, 9:00am-4:00pm EST.

Due to the delicate nature of a paper shade, I encourage you to be sure you are ordering the correct size lampshade for your lamp. Packing and shipping take a lot of time and it is a hassle on your end if you have to send a shade back. I do not reimburse on shipping charges (to or from). I do not accept returns on chimney fitting lampshades due their delicate nature.
I do understand however, that sometimes people are not happy with something they've purchased online. If you are not happy with your order, you may return it under the following conditions: Preferably return it in the box that it came in. Always save all your boxes and packing materials until you are certain you are happy with your purchase. Please call me first to let me know you'd like to return a lamp/lampshade.
Shipping charges on items returned to me are not reimbursable. Contingent upon inspection of item(s) once we receive it, if it arrives back in 100% perfect condition, we will refund you the full price of the item (excluding shipping charges). If the item arrives back to me damaged in any way outside of carrier mishap , and I am unable to re sell the item, I will use my discretion about giving a full or partial refund.

Shipping policies

I try very hard to produce the highest quality handmade lamps and cut and pierced paper lampshades and I want you to be pleased with your purchase. I take extra time to pack my items carefully so that when you open your box everything arrives in perfect condition. If something does arrive broken or damaged, please hang on to all of the packing and boxes for possible FEDEX/USPS inspection and call or email us that day. Email us: shades@maine.rr.com or (207)774-0740 between 9:00am - 5:00pm EST. We will file a claim if it is necessary. Do not dispose of the items until you hear from us.
Most items are shipped within 1 to 2 weeks of order placement. There are certain times of the year where I get very busy and shipping times may extend to 2 to 3 weeks. If you need an item by a certain date, please include that info in the order notes and I will try my best to meet that date. If I can't, I will let you know. We use USPS (post office) as our primary shipping carriers but occasionally use FedEx.
