The RavensWing series is a baker's dozen of colorways, a dark rainbow inspired by gems and metals and ores, colored by a common deep bass note - a midnight raven gray that strikes on the bamboo bases as charcoal and gunmetal and on the silk blends as a deep, warm gray that splits to aubergine and eggplant. The Raven - curious, creative, intuitive, mysterious, intelligent, and wise - is the harbinger of magic and carries messages from beyond space and time in her midnight wings.

Emerald is true, balanced green - of grass and glass bottles, peppers and meadows, shading into malachite and hunter and spruce on the dark side and aspen and hemlock and silvery sage. On the silk blends, the greens may split and reveal a bit of turquoise and sea green too. The stone is said to be one of inspiration and passion, harmony and joy.

::How should I care for my yarn?::
Hand washing is recommended. The dyes I use are low-impact Procion MX fiber reactive dyes in a cold water process, randomly distributing color, sometimes in multiple baths to produce a glazed and layered effect. There is no regular striping or predictable pooling. In the silk blend yarns, both the silk and plant fibers take up the color. You may have a slight coloring of water in the first bath, but the color of your yarn will not change.

Colors strike and move differently on different fibers. In addition, color movement and flow will vary from base to base and lot to lot and skein to skein. If your garment requires more than a single skein, consider alternating between skeins.

And, thank you for visiting!
