RARE and ORIGINAL. Australian "Home Journal" mail order pattern #10534, circa 1940s, printed in Australia.

"Nightdress Ensemble" :

Swing-jacket/ peignoir with gathers at yoke, front and back, edged with lace.
The nightdress has gathers at both shoulders and under bust, giving a shaped bodice with v neck. Neckline is edged in lace. (Please note, there is no pattern description printed - this is my own description.)

Pattern is the older style; before the days of fully printed patterns, so symbols are perforated on the pieces rather than printed. The names of each piece are printed on the tissue, along with simple instructions "gather", "waistline", etc.

Bust 34
Waist 29
Hip 38

There are general sewing and cutting hints on the back of the envelope (pictured), but no specific pattern instruction sheet supplied with this pattern.

Pattern is complete, in great condition for age. Pattern envelope is intact, with some yellowing and minor foxing. A pencil size number is written on the front - easily removed, but I will leave as is. A great piece of paper ephemera on its own.

If you are unfamiliar with using unprinted patterns, I can recommend an excellent tutorial by
