As a fellow violin player, I was tired of trying to search for unique engraved items for stringed instruments, only to find a limited selection of items. While there are many options for guirar, keyboard, band instruments, etc....personalized gifts for orchestra players were hard to find. So, we started making our own rosin for stringed instruments. Tested to perfection by my own personal use!

Home made rosin in a hand made wooden sleeve, personalized with your name or initials!

We hand pour all of our rosin. Made from pine sap from trees right down the road in Georgia, our rosin is made from all natural ingredients and hand poured into our hand built sleeves. All of our rosin sleeves are cut from premium ambrosia maple wood and hand sanded into shape. A small magnet holds the sleeve in place, so you never have to worry about your rosin falling out and shattering all over the place! All of our rosin has been tested to perfection, to get just the right amount of sticky grip for the bows!

This rosin is for use on any traditional bow for stringed instruments. This is a great gift for any violin, viola, cello, or bass player! You can choose to order the rosin without personalization, or have the rosin personalized with a name or initials!

To order:
From the drop down box, chose your engraving option. If you choose to have your rosin engraved, in the Personalization section, note the name or initials you would like engraved, and list the font you would like used for your engraving. A list of the available fonts is shown in the last photo of this listing. If you do not list a chosen font, we will engrave your text in our default font, Gabriola. Add the item to your cart and check out!

All of the wood used for our products is premium grade hardwood. We do not paint or stain any of our items. All of our pieces are finished with clear lacquer to show off the natural beauty of the wood.
Wood color and grain vary from piece to piece.
Things to keep in mind:
-Detailed drawings or extensive text show up much better on a lighter colored wood (ambrosia maple or cherry).
-Ambrosia Maple, also known as Ghost Maple, is normally light with varying color and grain. It is known for dark grain contrasts which add brown, gray, and bluish highlights to the wood. Ambrosia Maple worm holes and darker grain highlights come from the Ambrosia Beetle Inhabiting the tree before it was harvested, hence the name “Ambrosia Maple”.

Item appears as described. Gifted to a friend who is a violinist. I wouldn't be able to describe full detail of quality (functionality wise) but the wood engraving and display was very nice
