Description

In this 1960's two piece peachy toned wonder you'll cut a lean strut. Lots of great detail like the half moon leather pockets, signature brass turnlock closures, and enamel side snaps. Made of a cotton poly blend with all leather trim. This beauty came to us by way of the Schenectady Museum and is truly one of kind. It's a Bonnie Cashin original design for Sills of New York. She as a badass designer who helped modernize women's clothing in a major way.

From Wikipedia : "Cashin was an American designer and is considered one of the pioneering designers of American sportswear. She created practical, uncomplicated clothing that catered to the independent woman of the post-war era.

Cashin is often cited creating both the concept of layering clothing and for coining the term. The idea of layering came from time she spent in Asia.

Her use of leather, mohair and hardware was pioneering and the brass turnlocks that kept the top of her 1940s convertible down became a signature feature of Coach handbags."

Great vintage condition, no stains or tears except the leather has a worn look.
