They simply bend open to go over the bulb of the toe and squeeze down to fit the natural slender part right above the nail. It's made from soft, 16 gauge sterling silver wire so it adjusts very easily. No more toe rings that rotate or slide off or annoy adjacent toes. The toe ring is very beautiful, however it did not fit comfortably! It kept shifting to the sides on my toe, if I made it tighter, it hurt like crazy... I bent it so much to TRY and get it to a place that it wouldn't shift and that only made it worse while walking in my sandals and it hurt extremely bad!! After trying to wear it for several days and not being happy with it, finally I got frustrated and put it away!! I'm upset because my money is gone now and I wish I would've bought something else!!

Although I like the jewelry, I placed my order on June 14 and it is now July 3rd and I still haven't received it. This is my 2nd time ordering from them and definitely my last.
