Description

***Please read the entire description prior to purchase/questions***

This circa 1978-1981 bed frame was designed to support a waterbed mattress, but can hold a North American Queen quite snugly. Solid wood and corduroy upholstery, glass table tops, gold tone metal pulls... Clock-radio and built in nightlights. Everything a bed needs. It also has a built in voice recorder.

Jadco radio and cassette player has been serviced and works perfectly. Clock works. Stereo has European plug (bed was made in Austria) and a Simran heavy duty power adapter is included in the listing.

Both nightlights work, and plug into the wall independently. Nightlights are North American plugs. The headboard measure 95 inches across.

Listing also includes the 2 glass topped side tables, each with three drawers. The tables are 21 3/4 inches tall, 18 1/2 inches wide, and 18 1/4 inches deep. The glass on both sides has scratches and minor chips indicative of age. Drawer fronts are in beautiful condition.

This is a captain's bed - there are 4 drawers under the mattress. They each measure 14 1/2 inches wide, 20 1/2 inches deep, 4 3/4 inches tall. They are of a white melamine covered fiberboard, suggesting they are a later addition.

Mattress support is excellent, the bed is solidly built and easy to take apart/put together. Upholstery is very nice for its age, but does have a few dings, none worse than the ding under the speaker in photo 5. There are 2 popped and missing buttons from the foot of the bed, but they've come off symmetrically. Another button on the left of the bed has popped, but is still attached to the material.
