Description

Original linocut celebrating the Muur van Geraardsbergen or Mur de Grammont (French). This steep, narrow, cobbled road in Belgium also known as Kapelmuur or simply Muur is often the penultimate yet decisive climb in the annual Spring Classic, the Tour of Flanders professional cycle race.

This small linocut is printed using Caligo safe wash (linseed oil based) inks on Somerset 300gsm printing paper from a hand carved block. The printed area measures 13x20cm on paper size 18x25cm. It's is an edition of 50.

Each print is a unique original, being hand printed from the block. It is numbered, signed and bears the title 'Muur'. The print is shown mounted with a passe-partout suitable for framing in a 24x30cm frame.

The print is priced unmounted, but if you would like to receive it mounted, ready to put in a frame please select that variation, I will professionally mount the print with a black passe-partout leaving a 1cm white border around the print. The ideal frame size is 24x30cm, but let me know your preference. I charge £20 for this service which includes the more expensive postage option for the larger heavier item. Please message me if you'd like this option.
