Description

12 vintage mermaid wafer paper images for decorating cookies. You'll get nine different images plus three duplicates for a total of 12.

These are about 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" but the sizes vary slightly. They come cut out and ready to use, but you can trim them with a pair of scissors if you need them to be a little smaller.

They're sized to use on about 3X4" rectangular cookie, which you can make using a cutter or by cutting out cookie dough using a pizza cutter and a ruler.

Edible wafer paper images can be placed on iced or fondant-covered cookies and stuck on with corn syrup or piping gel.

Watch this video to see how to attach them to cookies, it's easy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2CHw65wPPc

These needs to be used on iced cookies, they won't stick well on cookies that have soft icing or none at all. They can be placed on cupcakes right before serving them, using a little icing or corn syrup.

Wafer paper is made from potato starch and vegetable oil and is tasteless and odorless. When you eat it along with the cookie it doesn't affect the flavor at all.

They should be stored at room temperature in the plastic bag they're shipped in until you use them. They'll be good for up to a year if stored in the bag out of humidity and light, which can fade the food coloring.

FAQs

I accept custom orders if you contact me ahead of time to confirm that I can do them. I can't match colors exactly but can get them pretty close (except for purple, that's a tricky one in food colors.)
I don't do anything overnight delivery. I might be able to do priority express in the U.S. (one to two day delivery) for certain items, but it's expensive and I don't guarantee delivery times since that's out of my control. If you need something fast please contact me before placing the order, or I may have to cancel if I can't fill it within the time frame you need it.
I ship items as quickly as I can, so don't order things months in advance unless you prefer to have them on hand early. I can't hold orders until specified dates months ahead of time due to issues with processing times on Etsy.

Gumpaste will last for months if it's stored correctly, but I'd order flowers for weddings or gumpaste succulents about a month ahead of time. Wafer paper butterflies are good for a year or more if they're kept dry and out of sunlight to avoid fading.

All gumpaste should be opened CAREFULLY and stored in a dry area at room temperature. Don't refrigerate gumpaste, wafer paper or sugar sea glass, moisture is the enemy of sugar and starches, and can soften these items and ruin them.
Because sugar attracts moisture, and customs warehouses are apparently humid, I've had some gumpaste and fondant items ruined while they sat in customs. Because of this I don't ship certain flowers or pearls outside the US.
It depends. I need to have an actual item to use to make a mold, so I can't make one from a picture of a piece of lace, for example. But if you have something that you're willing to send to me I might be able to create a mold from it. I usually can't make a larger or smaller version of molds that I already have listed (again, I need an original to make a mold from).
If you have a picture, I can help you figure out what you need to buy. I do need to know the sizes of the cake tiers, since the amount of flowers or other decorations needed will depend on how big the cake is going to be.
I ship packages Monday through Saturday, since there's no mail on Sunday.

Edible butterflies, wafer paper, supplies, and silicone molds can usually be shipped the first business day after the order is placed.

Paper flowers can be shipped two to three days after the order is placed.

Fondant and gumpaste orders vary since I have to make them and they need time to dry before they're ready to be shipped safely. I can generally get them in the mail three to five days after ordering, but it might take longer for larger orders. Feel free to convo me with questions about specific items.
No, I'm not a VAT registered business because I'm in the US. Any VAT or import fees that are imposed will be charged when you receive the package, not when you pay for the item. I do NOT include taxes in my prices, and the only tax I collect is the sales tax for the state of Virginia, which I do remit to the state tax department on a quarterly basis.
