We are delighted to bring you pattern number 13 the Lincoln Swirl . You will need a Bulky single bed Knitting Machine. A Brother KH 260 was used for this design.
13.5 stitches and 18.35 rows to 10 cm.

If you have a midgauge machine, I will be publishing a Linclon Swirl pattern just for you. Thank you to all the midgauge knitters who helped me understand the differance between the two machines. More needles for a start !

A lovely lady did knit on her midgauge machine a swatch and obtained a tension of = 17.75 stitches and 23.85 rows to 10cm after washing and steaming - Generally at leased 2 whole tensions higher on a midgauge need to be used to match the bulky. The highest setting goes up to 10 . . Thanks Helen.

The yarn I used in the pictured Lincoln Swirl is one strand of Hayfield Bonus ARAN tweet 20% Wool blend 75% Acrylic 6% Viscose
You will need 700 grams - the shade I used is Shade 0695 Green.

This versatile design can be worn upside down, and downside up as pictured - A customer found her Linclon Swirl, cosy on a long twenty hour flight - wearing the main part of the Swirl around her shoulders and neck - making a short jacket, also less creased up on arrival to her destination !

The measurements of the finished Lincoln Swirl - using the stated yarn and machine, are pictured in the Etsy pictures, click to view.

I haven't had a chance to work it but have read through the pattern and it seems easy to follow. Thanks

This is the easiest, most comprehensive pattern I have found. I made my first sweater on a Bond, with NO experience, and it came out beautiful. I have now upgraded to a Studio 303, and look forward to following Ann's instructions to making lovely garments. I highly recommend these patterns form novice to professional.
