Inspired by the Bible verse, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1). [Does anyone else remember TURN, TURN, TURN, a beautiful musical version of this Bible verse released by The Byrds in 1965? I love that song, and I could hear it in the background many times while working on the original of this print.]

A little red saltbox sits high on a hill, overlooking the ocean, while the four seasons unfold in front of it. The seasons are represented by the pastures (covered in the green grass of spring and summer, the browner ground cover of autumn, and the winter snow), the sheep (who get woolier with the coming of winter), and the trees (from the spring tree with blossoms, the full foliage of summer, the golds of autumn, and finally, to the bare branches of winter).

The entire design was antiqued, spattered, and the lettering was distressed. This extra-large print looks especially nice when framed in black.

Shipping overages always reimbursed to within $2 of actual shipping.
