Here at midsummer, the water sparkles like crystal, and the sea brings forth its best blues from the deepest parts of itself.

This is a necklace for strolling on the sand, for dining at the water's edge, for soothing yourself with the sight of waves and cool, clear water.

Measuring approximately 18", this necklace is created with a medieval-period braiding technique, using glass seed beads and cotton fiber. Finishing the piece is a swirling glass pendant, wired with sterling silver, that captures the motion of the water where it meets the land. A sterling silver sweep of a hook clasp closes this piece beautifully.

The entire necklace is handmade by me, following correct glassworking techniques, including annealing and proper handling.

The pendant measures approximately 1 3/4" in length.
