This modern cactus cross stitch pattern features brightly coloured succulents and cacti and is the third design in my cactus cross stitch pattern set. If you’re looking for a succulent cross stitch or even a Mexican cross stitch, this is a modern addition to your vertical wall garden! The cross stitch plants and pots are extra exciting in this one, with inspiration taken from Mexican and Himalyan swatches and a chevron style. Put this botany cross stitch in a decorative embroidery frame and it will fit perfectly in a 6” hoop when stitched on 14 count Aida.

This is an intermediate plant cross stitch pattern as there are lots of small patches of colour and minor backstitching. Included are instructions on dyeing white or cream Aida fabric to a darker colour using a common household ingredient, so the white stands out more (just like the photo).

If you want the frame to look like the one in the photo, please purchase my frame wrapping tutorial separately, for complete step-by-step instructions in a full colour photo PDF. It is found here:

There are three cactus patterns in this set, so you can get the other two in my shop or get all three patterns and save!

Please note this is a cross stitch pattern in PDF format only and no fabric, DMC floss or other materials are included in the listing.

Great pattern! I used one star (the geometric square one), sewed it on 28 count aida, and made a necklace for one of my friends for Pride!
