Details

These Kwan Yin charms are smooth, shiny, and serene-looking. They are also the same front and back, making them especially nice for bracelets and earrings. They have been sold out since 2012, and I have FINALLY found another supplier. Let's hope they'll be available for a while!

In case you don't know, Kwan-Yin is the Tibetan/Chinese manifestation of Avelokititsvara, the boddhisatva/avatar of infinite mercy and compassion, something of which the world could use more.

These are Tibetan silver, lead and nickel free, nicely detailed, and pleasingly solid in the hand. (If you need something lighter weight for earrings or whatever, check out our almost identical "metallized" Kwan Yins.)

Weirdly enough, if I hold an actual charm up to the screen, the size exactly matches the first and second pics.

You will receive twelve (12) of these little lovelies, enabling you to dispense compassion far and wide.

PLEASE read the information about metals on our shop policies page to keep your experience with Tibetan silver a pleasant one.

PLEASE read our policies section for information about shipping.

Come back soon—new items are added often—and if you don’t see what you want, do ask! We have some things in quantities too small to list and some waiting to be listed. And if we don’t have it we may be able to find it for you, especially if you need a largish quantity. PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING ME TO REDUCE SHIPPING AND HANDLING!!
I've been asked recently by a couple of new customers interested in buying one item whether I would lower my first item shipping costs for them. The answer is no--it wouldn't be fair to my other customers, especially those buying more and/or repeatedly, and it would be a loss to me.

Here's the deal with shipping: the first item charge covers postage, tracking, packing materials, my cost for getting the packing materials, going to the PO--gas, oil, wear & tear on my car, and time, mine or someone else's. I don't work free and won't ask anyone else to do it.
Additional items are much less because all of that except the actual cost of extra packing materials, additional postage, and a little bit of time is already covered.

I could build some of this into my prices, as many sellers do to make S&H lower, but I choose to keep my prices low and make S&H realistic and much cheaper for additional items--if I built it into the price it would cost more for each purchase rather than just the first one.

So I can't lower shipping on one item, though if you buy 6 at once and convo me before adding the sixth one to your cart it will ship free, and if you average the total across 6 items you'll find that it's pretty reasonable. If you want more than 6 items do convo me BEFORE you put them in your cart so that I can make you a custom listing.

SHIPPING UPDATE: As of August 17, 2014, we've been forced to raise our basic first-item rate to $5.00 for US orders. We've been trying to hold the line through postal rate increases, but tracking at $1.05 (it was $.65 when we established the old rate) forced this increase.
We will still mail weekly, but with gas at almost $4.00 a gallon and a 10-mile trip that too may become problematic. So far we've been able to find pretty decent prices on our bubble envelopes, labels, etc., and of course we'll keep it all as low as possible, but this IS a business--if we took a loss on S&H, we'd have to raise prices to make up for it, which we don't want to do.

April 2016 I AM VERY SORRY TO HAVE TO RAISE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS.
I took a 1/2 oz package to the PO this week and they charged almost $10- more than I'd paid previously! I'm keeping it as low as I can by sourcing less expensive (but still sturdy) packaging, etc., but I can't control the PO!
I will try to sort out rates for different countries-- they are listed in numbered categories-- & reduce for those not at the higher end, but I just ate $9- in shipping on a tiny package & can't afford to keep doing that. If you think your country is less expensive and I haven't redone this, ask me & I'll check and change if possible.

Gas is always an issue, as is time standing in line, especially for international shipments, but we're working that out by combining PO trips, when possible, with other errands, or shipping only a couple of times a week when things are slow. Mostly you won't even notice a difference, but if you need something quickly let me know and we'll do what we can to get it there on time.

As always, I'm not in charge of the PO, so once it leaves here it's out of my hands. However, US delivery times remain surprisingly good, non-US times vary, depending on other countries' postal systems.

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
You can pay with paypal, a personal check, or a credit card. If you send a check, purchases won't be mailed until the check clears, so paypal or a card is much faster, but it's your choice.

We normally ship by first class mail with a tracking number for US addresses once a week, sometimes more often, and as soon as possible after orders are paid for and packaged, but because of our location there may be a few days' delay in getting to the P.O., especially in stormy weather. We insure orders over $50- in the US, but are unable to insure or track most international orders.

Returns & exchanges

If your item arrives broken or damaged, I will refund the price, including shipping & handling, when it is returned or when you send me a photo clearly showing the damage. You can also return the item to be repaired or replaced.

I will also give store credit for returns for any other reason as long as you let me know immediately that the item won't work for you and return it promptly--within 10 days in the US, and a negotiated time from other countries. You pay shipping and of course it needs to arrive in the condition in which it left the shop.

Finding a similar item at a lower price is not a legitimate reason to ask for a refund. It may be a copy, a distress sale, or simply something of inferior quality
.
I source my products carefully, buying mostly from sellers I know and trust, occasionally from others recommended to me. If I have something, especially from Tibet, that is listed as used, vintage, old, or even antique, I'm pretty certain that that's accurate. I'm not responsible for cheap factory-made copies of handmade items, or for major craft stores' copies of vintage chain or findings.
If you are seriously unhappy about what you've paid for something from this shop, the shop credit option is available.
