Description

Michelle (Mom) s Notes:
Brynn and I have been really working hard, trying to figure out how to restructure and re-brand her company, now that she is 11, and not a funny little 7 year old that she was when we started this entrepreneurial venture together. She is a lot more skilled, but we didn't necessarily want to stick to making bags forever. I helped her combine our "pirate doll" pattern from my company Damsel in this Dress, along with a classic soft doll pattern that my younger sister taught me to make. We are making pirates, little renaissance wenches, little guys in kilts, mermaids, and gnomes. I am hoping that she can keep this business going, traveling to renaissance festivals with me into her teens! I would love for her to learn that you can use your creativity, skills, and passion to spark a fire your customers, and you CAN be supported financially doing something you love. If nothing else, I want to help her to understand that making money doesn't have to be drudgery, resentment, and just counting the seconds until you can be done with "work" so you can finally live your life.

These little dolls are deceptively complicated....from getting that funny little grim mouth line right to painstakingly poking out the little arms and legs and trying to make chunks of stuffing stay inside of them. We make them from scraps that naturally happen from Damsel in this Dress, so we are lucky that the costs are lower. Let me just say, we watched a whole lot of netflix whilst trying to stuff them, iron their funny little "starfish" bras, and get them all completed. What a wonderful world.

Brynn's Notes:
These men and women from the sea are quite good pals when you're feeling lonely! If you're wondering why you should buy this, and not an action figure, it's quite simple. Because, these are handmade in the U.S.A., and formed with creativity and love! Also, they made it so I could watch "A Series of Unfortunate Events" while I stuffed them!
