Description

Lovely vintage Bohemian 'Andromeda' style heavy cased glass vase.

It is made with a dark coloured glass on the inside (greeny/ smokey grey) and cased in clear glass.

This beautiful item was designed by Jan Beranek in the 60's for the Skrdlovice glassworks in Czechoslovakia. It is from the 'Andromeda' range which can be identified by its hot-worked spiraling exterior, which gives an interesting optical effect in combination with the cased colours.

The vase is:

18cm (7 inches) high;
8cm (3 inches) wide at the base;
12cm (4.75 inches) at its widest point;
