Description

This is a lovely large bar of solid shampoo made from handmade fermented rice milk. UNSCENTED totally natural ingredients and balancing.
Rice water has long been used in Asia for clear skin and long, luscious hair. Its super rich in nutrients that can fortify hair, antioxidants, minerals, vitamin E, and traces of pitera, a substance produced during the fermentation process. This serum like liquid also contains iron, zinc and B-complex vitamins that are essential for hair growth. Washing the hair with fermented rice water brings more than just shine to your hair. It makes hair soft, strong, manageable and healthy. For centuries, women in China, Japan, and Southeast Asia have used rice water to wash and rinse their hair. Ive also seen many blogs and mentions in the "long hair community" of its use as a weekly deep conditioning treatment or rinse for strengthening. (I encourage you to look up fermented rice water for hair, skin and face if you are interested) This is wonderful for ALL hair types.
I made a very dense rice water-milk from scratch in my kitchen and strained 3 times. I took a small portion of the smooshy rice and emulsified into a dense paste and re-added as well. I then let ferment for 24 hours and froze half into ice cube trays and half i left untouched to add later to the batter. ALL of the liquid portion of the saponification process is made using pure handmade organic fermented rice milk. The addition of Horsetail, Slippery Elm, Flax and calendula add nutritious hair and scalp loving herbs. Both Avocado Butter, Cocoa Butter and Chia Seed Oil add true absorbent moisture..(I could go on forever describing the ingredients).......................These bars are large and creamy and bubbly. They naturally feel silky like they are filled with a serum. Although they are unscented you can detect a light sweet rice scent. The first time i tested these I was very dry at my ends and grubby at my roots from two days of hard yard work.... I left the shower well balanced and soft-silky.

They are cut into large 5.6 oz bars and you will receive one, unless you choose more of course : )

INGREDIENTS: Saponified Pomace olive Oil, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Avocado butter, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Castor Oil, Beeswax, Chia Seed Oil, Organic Jasmine Rice, Horsetail, Flax Gel, Calendula Flowers, Slippery Elm Bark.

*SHIPPING: I use priority mail flat rate and will give you the best price I can get. All excess shipping costs will be refunded to you. It all depends on quantity and weight. ( I can usually fit at least 6 bars into one flat rate envelope and 10 or more into the larger bubble mailers) .. shipping costs don't benefit me and I want you to be using good natural products.

----NOTE: I don't make the soaps for people or companies to sell, re-sale or wholesale. I don't agree to any company big or small re-selling any of my products. I am not a large production factory company and cannot afford to wholesale bulk product. I do not agree to people or companies re-selling or selling free sample gifts, normal sized bars or any other of my products in ANY WAY. Samples are intended as a thank you for personal use only. I have no interest in making anything for another company to use as profit making, selling and redistributing. I don't do wholesale as I would not be able to afford to do so. I do not share my personal recipes, all ingredients are listed for allergy reasons. Please be considerate of that THANK YOU VERY MUCH-

When I first started researching shampoo bars I honestly didn’t think it could work for me as my hair and scalp are so finicky and spastic. I have frizzy extremely dry and tangly- wavy hair that is both course and baby fine. I get A LOT of hair coming out in the shower and I get grimy itchy scalp most of the time. I was so convinced I needed specific types of shampoo and conditioner that it was really hard mentally to wean from that. Little did I know that my hair routine was actually causing most of my issues in the first place. I had already thought I was being pretty natural as I never use product or irons and just kinda shake dry and brush.
In researching even the most natural store bought shampoos and conditioners I was floored that pretty much everything contains some pretty intense chemicals, preservatives and damaging ingredients whose intent is to create a need to use often. They give an immediate feeling of loveliness with synthetic sealants which is pretty addicting but soon you need to repeat. They are stripping of natural oils and nutrients, contain toxins and detergents, and often contain ingredients that are responsible for hair damage and fallout & actual hormone imbalances. Sad.
As I am already a crazy soaper and herb obsessive, I decided to start making my own. I made several different types in small batches for myself and family, tweaked recipes and gradually added them into our bathrooms. I didn’t get the weird stress that some people report when weening from store bought stuff so much that it was noticeable. I did my transition so gradually that I never saw signs of weird waxiness or anything that I keep hearing about. Before my first batch was ever cured and ready I just started using my homemade soaps as my shampoo. I used the Rosemary Mint and Tea Tree bar which is wonderful for scalp but I wasn’t used to how squeaky clean my actual hair was so I kept using detangling frizz away type conditioner. I did that routine for a couple of months while gradually adding water to the conditioner to thin it more like a rinse. (Conditioner was hard to give up in my head, haha) I started using my shampoo bars and it was like love at first try. MY HAIR IS SO HAPPY with them.
I switch between them and have since been making a Vinegar rinse that IM SHOCKED to say I love more than conditioner. SHOCKED… REALLY SHOCKED. I’ve always thought of vinegar as drying, dehydrating (pickling?). Apparently it’s very balancing & gives a soothing detangling effect. My first experiment was successful so I stick with a simple recipe of cup balsamic or apple cider vinegar, a cup water, a squirt of aloe Vera gel, a few drops Argan oil and a few drops bergamot essential oil (lavender, rosemary and lemongrass smell lovely too). SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE…. As soon as you shake it the vinegar smell is Gone and you just smell Citrus or whatever essential oil you chose. After your hair is dry the scent is totally gone altogether.
Everybody has different hair and scalp needs. Just my children alone have the most extreme opposites in scalp and hair color and thickness. I have a variety of options to choose from and will list them each as they are available and cured. The ingredients I use are premium, natural and or organic and of highest quality available. I have never used fragrance oils or colorants in my shampoo bars. I pack intense herbal concentrations, premium quality oils, butters and nutrients into each batch.

The best shampoo bar I've tried! It makes my hair so soft, shiny and manageable more than anything else I've used. I was using a natural castile body soap to wash my hair for about 3 months before trying out different shampoo bars. I'm very happy to see a natural fermented rice milk shampoo bar because I love rice beauty care products! I make my own rice water and use it from head to toe so this is perfect to go with my rice beauty collection. This soap has a delicate scent of rice deserts like plain mochi to me. Awesome soap! I hope you will always make it! Kim is also awesome! :)

FAQs

Not available at this time. When I do start I will require the buyer to provide a legal business liscence and shop proof.
Ask me, I will do my best. I love making custom soaps and using new ingredients. I get quite a few custom requests and every once in a while buyer backs out at the last minute, I now require an upfront deposit. Especially when special ingredients are ordered in for a large order with expensive ingredients. Thank YOU.
Without written express consent from me personally nobody, no company, no agency has rights to re-sell my products in any way.
I list ALL ingredients in each description. However I don't share exact recipes or quantities as that is personal.
I have had multiple issues with free sample and just sample requests in general. I will no longer be sending samples by request to people as it creates issues apparently. Samples are gifts included in orders as thank you's. Demanding free items in exchange for good reviews is not something I will participate in.
