Description

This listing is for a CROSS-STITCH PATTERN, not for the finished items.

“Let There Be Peace on Earth” is a song written in 1955 by Jill Jackson Miller and Sy Miller for the International Children’s Choir. In the years since, it has been performed by multiple musical artists, and has become mostly associated with the Christmas holiday season, but that was not the original intent. Jackson, who had been suicidal after the failure of a marriage, later said that she wrote the song after discovering the “life-saving joy of God’s peace and unconditional love”.

Growing up with this song playing in the background, it has become somewhat of a personal theme song. I firmly believe that there will never be peace on earth until each and every human being embraces a life of respectfulness toward each other. And so… let it begin with me.
