Sizes are mainly quoted in UK measurements.
Bangles - If in doubt about the size you require put your thumb into your palm and then measure around the largest part of your hand the bangle will have to pass over with a flexible tape measure or piece of string. Place the string against a ruler to get the measurement in cm you need to order. This will be the final circumference of the bangle.
Rings - A local jeweller should be happy to check your ring size for you and is the safest way of insuring the correct fit. Please remember rings are classed as personalised items.

Pieces that have been gold plated or oxidized should be treated gently, use a soft cloth to lightly buff. Please avoid getting these pieces wet and avoid contact with abrasive products that will scratch or remove the surface patina.

Silver and 14 ct gold filled jewellery can be cleaned using a soft jewellery polishing cloth. Worn daily, silver tends not to tarnish but please avoid wearing in swimming pools as it may turn black.

Your jewellery is packaged ready for gift giving in a quality presentation box . It is sent in a slim postal box to insure its safe arrival.

Gold fill is much more valuable than gold plated jewellery. When something is gold filled, it has a thick sheet of gold permanently bonded to a base metal usually brass. It is 50 to 100,000 times thicker than gold plating, and in order for something to be considered Gold Filled, it must have a gold content of at least 1/20th the total weight of the item. I use 14ct/kt gold filled material and solder it with gold solder.
It is hard wearing and under normal circumstances will not flake or peel like gold plated jewellery.

If for any reason you have a problem with any piece of jewellery ordered from me I am happy to make repairs for a small charge usually between £5 to £15 to cover my time, materials and postage back to you.
If an item needs to be altered once sent out, i.e. due to choosing the incorrect size, it is returned and sent back at the buyer’s expense. I will send you a request for payment for return postage through Etsy when your alteration is ready to return and on receipt I will post it back and send you the tracking number associated with it.

Oxidation to give a grey or black patina is not permanent and may wear off gradually revealing the silver beneath. This does not cause your skin to discolour and provides added interest to your jewellery increasing its unique qualities. Cleaning products, abrasives and even skin oils can affect how quickly the colour may change. There are many simple ways of returning the original colour through easy home oxidation. By UK law, all sterling silver objects weighing over 7.78 grams and gold pieces weighing over 1 gram need to be tested to guarantee their metal content before hallmarking. This is carried out by The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, more commonly known as the Goldsmiths' Company in London where my unique makers mark is also added. Pieces weighing less than 7.78 grams will not usually be hallmarked to enable me to keep the cost down for you the buyer.
