Description

Item #17-329

Vintage Russian (USSR) Zenit 19, 35-mm, camera made from 1979 to 1987 by the Krasnogorsk Plant located in the suburbs of Moscow. The camera is also known as "KMZ" which stands for Krasnogorsk Mekanicheski Zavod. The factory continues making cameras and lenses today. The plant made a total of 122,000 Zenit 19 cameras over the 8-year production span of which this is one.

Camera in good condition and shutter appears to be functional as it actuates at all shutter settings. Not calibrated. The Helios-44M lens is clean and seems to have been protected with it's lens cover. Cosmetically there are a few small nicks on the bottom front edge and the rewind crank has a small bend in it so it does not seat fully into it's slot in the rewind knob. The camera had batteries in it when obtained, these were removed and there was some minor corrosion on the battery contact springs in the camera at one of the two battery seats. The depleted batteries were removed.

An interesting historical camera for collection, display or hobby pursuit.

The size is 5 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/4 inches from back of camera to front of lens cap.
