The Oregano Plant can be traced back thousands of years. A time tested herb spicing up kitchens around the world with it's wonderful aroma and taste!

As a spice organic oregano goes well with many, many foods. Use on Pork, Chicken, Beef, in soups, salads, pasta, chili, pesto and my personal favorite, charred atop of baked fish! Experimenting with oregano in your cooking adventures is fun and rewarding!

As an herb oregano is surprisingly rich in flavor making an excellent tea containing a natural source of vitamin A, C, E, K as well as calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. Oregano contains carvacrol, cymene, thymol, borneol, terpinene, pinene, linalyl acetate, bisabolene, linalool, caryophyllene and geranyl acetate. These chemicals may contribute to the antimicrobial and antioxidant actions of Oregano.

Native to Europe, Asia and the Mediterranean, Oregano is grown and harvested throughout the world. Sometimes called marjoram, Oregano is a perennial herb that can easily be grown by your average home gardener. Give it a try sometime. Growing your own herbs can be very rewarding!
