This festive dragon is so much fun to make! The best part is picking out crazy color combinations and novelty yarns to really bring this little guy to life.

Please note, this listing is for the *pattern only*, not the finished item. It's available for instant digital download.

I know the dragon may look a little intimidating to crochet, but all of the pieces are pretty basic - there are just a lot of them! The pattern features detailed instructions and color photos, and is suitable for an advanced beginner.
The stitches you'll use in this pattern are:
chain
single crochet
single crochet increase and decrease
slip stitch
half double crochet
basic sewing/embroidery for assembly and finishing touches

The finished dragon is about 14 - 16 inches long, when using bulky yarn for the main body as shown.

Feel free to convo me with any questions you might have.

Yes, I take orders for custom crocheted pieces! Prices and availability vary - please contact me for more information.

- Yarn - These are some of my favorites. For bulky weight, KnitPicks Brava bulky. The worsted version is also lovely, but I find that it crochets like a "light" worsted. For worsted, Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn was a great surprise - it's perfect for amigurumi. Vanna's Choice is also good and has some unique colors.

- Safety Eyes - Darice for solid black eyes, available at many craft stores. Many Etsy shops also carry these basic eyes. All of the colored eyes I use are from suncatchereyes.com.

- Safety Noses - The ones used for Grumpy Kitty are from etsy.com/shop/6060.

- Hook - Use whatever size gives you a very tight stitch.
