Description

This unique necklace is hand crafted with Carnelian, Lapis, Sodalite beads and .925 Sterling Silver. The blues and oranges in this piece create a beautiful contrast of complementary colors. This is a one of a kind piece that you won't find elsewhere. This necklace is adjustable from 19 to 22 inches.

Lapis lazuli, or lapis for short, is a deep blue metamorphic rock used as a semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. The most important mineral component of lapis lazuli is lazurite, a feldspathoid silicate mineral.

Carnelian is a glassy, translucent stone, and is an orange-colored variety of Chalcedony, a mineral of the Quartz family. Its color varies from pale pinkish-orange to a deep rusty brown, though it is most known for its brilliant orange and red-orange crystals.

Sodalite is well known for its blue color, sodalite may also be grey, yellow, green, or pink and is often mottled with white veins or patches. The more uniformly blue material is used in jewelry, where it is fashioned into cabochons and beads. Although somewhat similar to lazurite and lapis lazuli, sodalite rarely contains pyrite (a common inclusion in lapis) and its blue color is more like traditional royal blue rather than ultramarine. It is further distinguished from similar minerals by its white (rather than blue) streaking. Wikipedia
