Description

A stunning designer long rhinestone necklace with three beautiful strands of rhinestones and a larger crystal stone in the center- creating a lovely V-shape in the necklace. It is a very versatile necklace that has a lot of sparkle in a simple design.

This piece came directly from the estate of William de Lillo and Robert Clark in Paradise Valley, AZ. Many of the pieces were brand new one-of-a-kind or sample/test pieces. This is the last of their stock- much was sold off and the remainder is being held by the estate for future exhibitions.

Condition: Excellent

Size: 35 inches long; Shortest chain is 25 inches.

Material: Rhinestone, Crystal, Silver Tone, Base Metal

Era: 1970's

Designer: William de Lillo (signed on hidden box clasp)

About the Designer: In the 1950’s, William de Lillo became a well-known jewelry designer and worked with Cartier, Harry Winston and Tiffany & Company. In 1967 William started “The House of de Lillo” with Robert F. Clark, who was the head designer for Miriam Haskell from 1958 to1967. The House of de Lillo pieces are quite rare and most are one-of-a-kind or very few were made. They created pieces exclusively for wealthy clients including the Duchess of Windsor and Elizabeth Taylor. In the 1970’s they moved to France and produced jewelry for Nina Ricci, Schiaparelli, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel.

Please take care in looking closely at the measurements. Items often look larger than they are in pictures than they do in person. We try to do our best to help visualize the actual size.

Additional policies

As noted in the jewelry descriptions . . .
Mint: New.
Excellent: Minor use, but no repairs and no major wear.
Good: Used with moderate wear. May have repairs done properly (including stone replacement with good matches).
Fair: Heavy wear but still looks good. It’s possible that there may be some stone discoloration and may need stone replacements/minor repairs.
Poor: Unlimited possibilities. Good for parts or stones.

Please keep in mind that vintage/antique jewelry is pre-owned and rarely out of the box perfect. One should expect some age appropriate wear. Of course we will make note of anything we see that might be an issue, such as excessive wear, missing or turned stones, or repairs that need to be made. Please feel free to email us if you have inquiries about an item. Also, the colors in the pictures may slightly differ from the original because of the lighting and/or your computer monitor settings.
