Description

- Black stoneware pot kickwheeled, carved with beetle, lotus and "EARTH" lettring, turquoise glaze inside, woodfired at 1250°C.
Can be used as a jewelery pot

-8.7 cm high and 11.5cm diameter on the top

All ceramics are fired two times :
The first time is to get them stronger for glazing . This lasts about 9 hours to reach 1000°C.
The second firing is to fix glazes, earthenware is fired at 1050°C, stoneware and porcelain that are stronger have to be fired until 1250°C, about 10 hours next to the kiln !

We use only deadwood for firing to preserve living trees, and all the glazes are foodsafe (lead free)

The prices of our works depends of the material and the way we decorate them (for example carving is a very long work in comparaison of stamping texture)

We are inspired by nature's infinite wonders and japanese designs in general (I've been tattoing people for 10 years before discovering ceramic work)

Woodfiring ceramics produces strange effects in the glazes and on the earth itself. Textures can become either rought or smooth, and flames produces their own patterns so ceramics can't be the same that you could buy in a ceramics shop. Be conscient that woodfiring process is very special !
