Order and Shipping Information:

Glass paintings are made to order. You should allow for *at least* 14 days prior to shipping for all made-to-order pieces. Each piece takes 2-3 days to complete at minimum due to drying time needed in between steps. Larger and more detail-oriented pieces may take a little longer. Once finished, each painting requires a minimum of 10 days to cure prior to shipping. Please anticipate delays around the holidays. If you need a rush on an item, send us a message; We do offer rush orders for a small fee. Please keep in mind that rush items will still require 10 days to cure prior to shipping. Items listed "in stock" will be shipped within 5 business days.

Care Instructions:

Acrylics are water-based paints:

• This product is not designed for outdoors use. I don’t recommend keeping this in a high-humidity area or areas regularly exposed to water or large amounts of condensation, like a bathroom.

• Avoid over-exposure to temperature fluctuations on a consistent basis. You can take it ON the bus; you just don’t want to leave it there year-round. And don’t let it get too hot sitting in that window in the middle of July or your face might not be the only thing melting!

• Long term exposure to direct sunlight will eventually fade the paint, just like that trusty tie-dye soaring high above your car in the lot at every show from ’82-’89.

• If you want to prolong the life of your painting, especially if you plan to expose it to unfavorable conditions or high levels of UV, we offer the option to add a UV sealant to your painting, starting at $5, which will provide additional protection from weather and sun damage. Please add this option by purchasing the listing for UV Sealant in our shop. https://www.etsy.com/listing/526665085/uv-sealant-add-on-for-glass-paintings?ref=shop_home_active_1

The acrylic glass paints I use require 7-10 days to “cure” to dry completely. I have found in rare circumstances that, especially when the weather is warm, the curing process can take up to 30 days. What does this mean? If the paint hasn’t fully cured, moderate pressure from, for example, your finger, could leave an imprint in the paint.

*I allow all of my paintings to cure for at least 10 days prior to shipping.* At this point, the paint will not be affected by the light surface contact of the packaging materials and will feel solid to the touch unless pressure is applied. However, I recommend operating under the assumption that the painting will need the full 30 days to cure and handle it with appropriate care, to be safe.

• Do not set other items on top of or lean other items against the painting. It could mark or shift the paint.

• Do not clean the surface of the painting with chemicals or use any pressure. You may lightly dust the painting, preferably with a feather duster.

• Try to avoid touching the paint as much as possible.

• If something does adhere to the paint or feels tacky when you try to remove it, do not forcibly separate the two items. Move the items to a cold area if possibly, like the freezer, for a few minutes ONLY. When the paint is chilled, it will be easier to separate the items without damaging the paint.

• After 30 days, the paint should be completely solidified, at which point, you may handle with slightly less care (it’s still glass, after all!). You may also clean the surface more thoroughly with light pressure.

FAQs

Contact us for custom and personalized orders! We'd love to create something special and unique for you or a loved one!

Custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable once work has commenced. Depending on the price and size of your custom order, 50%-100% of the cost will be due up front. This amount is non-refundable once we have begun work on your project. Supplies cost money, as does our time spent. All higher value commissions for original art that require a 50% deposit will require a commission agreement in writing prior to the commencement of work to protect both you and I during the course of our working relationship. You will have the opportunity to review this agreement before your initial 50% payment is due.
Please note that, whenever possible, I try to reuse shipping materials, including shipping boxes, bubble wrap, styrofoam, cardboard, etc., so long as these materials show little signs of wear and I am completely confident they will ensure your purchase is delivered securely. While I understand that a new, plain box may make your packaging look nicer, I believe that it's more important to keep our planet looking nicer. And remember, it's what's on the inside that really counts! Contact me if you have questions or want to discuss alternative packaging options for gifts. Additionally, keep in mind that sometimes I will have to use new packaging materials depending on availability and item size. Thank you for recycling.

My home and studio are dog friendly spaces [see shop partner Enzo, aka Bear]. While I take the greatest care possible to ensure that none of my furry friend ends up in your home, please keep in mind that dog hair can have a mind of it's own! My studio is thoroughly cleaned prior to creating, and I inspect every piece of artwork for rogue hairs before and after drying and varnishing. However, if you're the type to get "turned off" if there's fur stuck to the tape on your packaging, my shop may not be the one for you. No offense intended; we all have our "things". [Mine: PLEASE don't be a loud chewer!! RAGE!]

If you have an allergy, please contact me after you order and I'll do my best to package elsewhere with a fresh roll of tape. :)
