1950's Arnant 5th Ave Hand Painted Bisque Figurine - Young girl feeding apples to Geese

Add it to your favorites to revisit it later.

Colourful Arnart 5th Ave hand painted bisque porcelain figurine depicting a young girl feeding apples to a pair of white geese, with lovely details and nicely painted facial expression. Base stamp reads "Arnant 5th Ave Hand Painted 2619" - made in Japan, circa 1950s. Interestingly the stamp says "Arnant" and not the correct "Arnart."

Condition: Very good vintage condition, no cracks or chips. Some very small minor marks to the paintwork only and crazing on the base, otherwise visually really nice. Base has a line running through the top shown in photos, but this is a scratch made in the making process, and is not a crack.

Height 13.8cm
Width 9cm
Depth 5.5cm

Yes! We offer standard Airmail from just £3.95 depending on the size or value of the item.
As a former Museum Curator, I have lots of experience in packaging antiques for transport, and as such pay close attention to sturdy and padded materials to post items. We use card boxes where appropriate with bubble wrap and paper packaging.
We try to be as accurate as possible and include lots of photos to help customers get a feel for what we sell. We're only human however, and that means we can make mistakes - please allow us to put them right. If you are unhappy in any way we accept returns and will pay for your return postage to boot.
We're a new shop, but we have lots of experience in successful online selling, including the 5-star Sewing Circus Etsy Shop created in 2013. Having sold vintage goods on Ebay over the years, it seemed time to create a shop base that would give the best look and feel for what we sell.
No problem at all :)

As many as 3 items at a time can be reserved for 7 days

We offer a really simple LAYAWAY PLAN for items over £100 or more, with up to 3 months to complete payments.

1. Contact us with what you would like and the sort of payments/timescale that suits you.

2. We will invoice you via Paypal, and ask that you make an initial 20% down payment to get things going. We will then reserve your item for you.

3. The 20% deposit is non-refundable, but should you wish to cancel at any time before all the payments are made, get in touch and we will refund you all your payments minus the 20% deposit.

4. Use your Paypal account to keep track of your payments, once the invoice is paid in full we will get your order in the post!
We sell rare, cool and quirky, but even that means we sometimes pass up on things that have seen better days.

First off, we get a feel for the item - how it looks overall, checking for anything obvious like breaks and chips. How china sings (or doesn't) when you tap it with a fingernail. Do the moving parts still work? Has anything been glued back together? How would I feel if I received this?

In truth I don't buy/collect anything for my shop I wouldn't want myself. That's a number one rule.

"Excellent condition" - looks unused, as good as the day it was made

"Good or Very Good Vintage condition" - used, so expect minor imperfections. Anything major will be added to the listing.

"Fair" - on the cusp, so expect TLC needed
Only the item listed is for sale, and will state if a box is included. We use period jewellery boxes for photographs sometimes, but will always state if this is included in the sale.

If in doubt, please don't hesitate to ask :)
On most items yes, we're happy to look again at our pricing and come to the right deal for you :) Never be afraid to ask!
Not necessarily, not all orders are sent tracked. It's simply too costly to send tracked every time, especially for international orders. For a guaranteed tracking number with your order, please select a tracked postage option at the checkout.
