Antique wooden blueberry crates from my family farm in Maine. These boxes are extremely versatile with many uses. This listing is for one pine crate.

My great-grandfather started buying these boxes in the 1920s when he returned from World War I. They were used until the 90s when they made the switch to plastic boxes. Most wooden boxes were burned or destroyed but these boxes were stored inside a garage since their retirement. We started using the boxes again a few years ago for our fresh packed berries because they are better at collecting moisture.

They have been branded with "Maine Blueberries" on the outside and some have it on the inside. The dust and dirt from the years of storage was washed off as well. Each box has two handles on the outside making them easy to carry.

These boxes have been used in many harvests and they have the natural weathering and blueberry stains to prove it.

The dimensions of the box are 16.5" long by 15" wide by 6" tall. Each box is the same size, making them stackable, but no two boxes are the same, with repairs, markings, stains, and weathering from decades of use. Each box is unique and has a story behind it!

"I am a fourth-generation blueberry farmer. My family has lived in Down East Maine since the 1800's. My great-grandfather, born in a blueberry pasture, began building his blueberry business in the 1920's after he returned from World War I. Today, we still farm the same land with the same love for wild Maine Blueberries."
