Mountain Farm's Smokey Salt is made up of three only ingredients: Guérande Sea Salt, Lapsang Souchong Tea, and Certified Naturally Grown Lavender - grown right here on the farm!
Unrefined Guérande Gray Sea Salt is a light gray color due to fine clay from the salt flats. With nothing added and nothing removed, just the way nature intended, we chose this salt for its high quality. Lapsang Souchong, is known for its unique smoky flavor which is acquired by smoke-drying the tea leaves over a pinewood fire. Lastly, our Certified Naturally Grown lavender buds add a distinct flavor, complimenting the sea salt and smoked tea.
Try our Smokey Salt in place of regular salt on roasted or fresh vegetables; it is especially good on edamame and corn on the cob! You can mix it into olive oil and drizzle over plain bread or toast topped with fresh mozzarella and tomato slices. It is also excellent with lamb, salmon and tofu. Use as a dry rub on meat or combine with oil. Coat tofu with egg, dip into a mix of smokey salt and black sesame seeds, then fry. The possibilities are endless!
