Description

I made these lovely delicate oak leaf earrings by lost wax casting. The castings have veins on both sides which allow me to assemble the earrings to be symmetrical. After casting, I file, sand and polish the leaves and solder 14 karat solid yellow, rose or white gold posts to the pieces. The long and sturdy, double notched earring posts are made in Italy. The matching solid 14 karat yellow, rose or white gold butterfly backs, or friction backs are also Italian made, together with the posts keep the earrings securely in place, forming a very tight closure behind the earlobes.
After assembling the tiny oak leaves with the earring posts, I polish the earrings to a shiny mirror finish on a polishing machine.
These earrings are available in either yellow, white or rose gold, also with tumbled finish or with satin finish.
11 mm long and 5 mm wide, these lovely White Oak leaves make perfect everyday earrings; give them as a birthday gift, anniversary gift, wedding gift; a timeless design suitable for men and women.

White oaks and oaks in general are held sacred by many cultures. The Celts believed oaks to be sacred because of their size, durability, and nourishing acorns. The Celts named the oak the King of Trees and used the oak tree during many rituals. They made magic wands from oak wood and gathered acorns at night because they believed this would bring great fertility. Druids, which are Celtic magicians or priests, believed to symbolize strength and have healing powers. The Druids believed the tree to be so sacred that they used white oak logs for their midsummer fires. They believed that the burning of the wood would protect them and bring them strength. They also believed that the burning of oak leaves purifies the atmosphere. The Druids used oak trees in spells for stability, safety, strength, and achievement.

Would you like to get a single earring? Please convo me, I could set up a separate listing for you.

The curved shape and the small size of these earrings don't allow me to add my maker's mark and the 14k quality stamp to these pieces, but the earring posts and butterfly backs bear the quality mark.

I guarantee my work for life.
Your purchase will arrive in a red or green velvet and silk lined presentation box.

Additional policies

Sterling silver tarnishes naturally with time and exposure to many environmental factors, such as exposure to sunlight or sea air.

The best way to protect your sterling silver jewelry from tarnish is to wear it - often! When not being worn, store out of direct sunlight in a suitable jewelry storage container - or even a ziplock bag!

Jewelry can be cleaned safely with water and mild soap. I also sometimes use a soft toothbrush and baking soda. Tarnish can be removed with a sterling silver jewelry polishing cloth, check out my cleaning cloth listing. I do not recommend using commercial silver polishes, pastes or dips.

Please contact me personally if you are inquiring about repairs or redesigning old jewellery or if you have any more questions:

I am more than happy to work with your Diamonds or gemstones, but I kindly request that you bring your valuables to the shop in person. If your stones are larger than 0.25 carat, please have them appraised by a certified gemologist.
It's always a good idea to contact me for an appointment.

I'm sorry, but I can not accept Diamonds sent to me for custom work in the mail or by courier, I hope you understand.
