Description

Vintage picture frame with natural scallop shells mounted on silk. Creamed colored, slightly distressed wood picture frame. Natural off white scallop shells collected from Quincy Shore, and Nantucket, Massachusetts mounted on a sea blue textured silk. I love antique framed, specimen and botanical prints, combined with hand collecting scallop shells and a collection of vintage and antique picture frames, I decided to make my own.
They are framed without glass to make them more dimensional and tactile.
The frame is aprox. 12 1/4" x 10 1/4" x 3/4". The face of the frame is aprox 1 1/2" wide.
The fabric is a beautiful textured nubbed silk in a sea blue.
The frame shows wear, distress, expected of it's age, and the shells show natural imperfections.
Would be beautiful in it's own niche or in a grouping of other frames.
Sold as is. I generally ship on Thursday after sale completion
