1940 Nurse's Uniform, Caps & Cape #1008

I love a uniform! These little uniforms are reminders
of days gone by when nurses looked like this.
This pattern has three sleeve variations, two caps and in
addition, the ubiquitous cape. The whole ensemble is
completely lined with the exception of the long sleeves
and as a result, the finished look is very smooth and

This pattern may not be for the beginner as there are
no drawings in the instructions; only well-written
directions. There are; however, the usual pattern
pieces. If you have the assistance of an experienced
seamstress, you will probably be successful.

I have a background in design, dressmaking and
tailoring. When my little granddaughter, Sydney,
asked for a doll that was 'easy to dress', I pulled out
an American Girl catalog, she selected Kirstin, and
I was off and running. So a few years and many
patterns later, here I am anxious to share my wares
with you.

This pattern is a winner and brings a great deal of joy!
