Description

This vintage, upcycled/redesigned bridal gown is perfect for the bride who wants to wear something unique for her wedding.

After custom designing wedding gowns for decades, I've recently found new inspiration by redesigning vintage bridal wear like this beauty.

Fashioned in the 1970s, this Bianchi classic is made of a bright ivory Qiana, a silky knit that was all the rage at the time. It falls beautifully, doesn't wrinkle and is easily cleaned. Please note that this is a buttery ivory color, not an off white or ecru.

Although the original dress would have been the height of fashion at that time, I felt today's bride might like something a bit more open and sexy. The original veil was made of silk chiffon, rather than tulle. Rather than offer it as a veil, I converted it to a detachable train. The belt and shoulder detailing is made of satin flowers with pearl and rhinestone centers. I think it's unique and beautiful, but both could be replaced with your own personal touch if desired. I will include the original belt and some of the buttons if you'd prefer to use that.

It closes with an invisible zipper in the back and is fully lined. It could be worn without a bra, or if that's not an option, a strapless bra or have a seamstress sew in cups.
This vintage dress is in amazing condition. The only "flaw" I see is a few super faint marks where the buttons were on the back of the bodice near the zipper. No one but me would even spot them, but I want to describe my items as accurately as possible.

The measurements are: Bust" Under bust: 30" Hip: Full Under bust to hem: 45 Train 58

I do not accept returns unless the garment is not as described. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like before purchasing. I want you to love your gown!
