Description

Vintage Hexagonal picture frame with natural scallop shells mounted on vintage green pin tucked linen.
I love vintage / antique specimen and botanical prints, and combined with hand collecting scallop shells and a collection of vintage picture frames, I decided to create my own version. The scallop shells are collected on Quincy Shore and Nantucket, Massachusetts.
The frame measures aprox. 8" x 6" X 3/4" deep. Face of frame is aprox. 3/4" wide. Nice ridging on frame.
The small shells have great color flecks and stripes. They are deep brown to nearly black. I frame them with out glass to be more dimensional and tactile.
The frame shows wear expected of it's age, The shells have natural imperfections and the old linen shows variations.
Sold as is. I generally ship on Thursday after sale completion.
