I like these pickups. They are fundamentally old school but with punch and attitude. Well rounded bottom end, crisp mids and perfect but not over biting highs. My only criticism would be in the aesthetics of the pickups themselves that I received. The pole pieces were substantially higher than the plastic covers on the pickups and I had to shim under the cover to make the pickups look flush like the picture. Not a biggie but something that should be addressed. Shipping took exactly what they said it would on their website and for me well worth the wait. I hope this company does well as they are a worthy alternative to what else is out there!

Excellent build quality. Clean wind. Bobbins are typical. Pole pieces sit just slightly above the cover which in my amateur opinion is the correct spot. Connection wires are slightly waxy and slightly stiff. (Thumbs up) Solder points are clean and strong. Pro level I put these in a MIM 75th anniversary P bass. (The model with the gold/silver paintjob and matching headstock.) As for tone, again to my amateur ears, there is a sweeter more "musical" midrange than the stock issue my bass came with. I am looking for what I describe as a vintage "quack" in the middle tone. I was attracted to this pup from the YouTube shootout.

Delivered on the scheduled date (I live in France so it could have been longer). The package was well protected. And finally the sound : just one word great ! My pickup is in the middle position (in neck I have a suhr ML 60's and in bridge a dimarzio FS-1 cause i don't really like intermediate position). Really pleasant for clean sound (you can easily play jazz on it if you know how to setup your up) but it playground is on overdrive or crunch sound. A great pickup for blues rock (SRV or Rory sound even Hendrix I would say).
