Description

This Shampoo Bar was created by request by a lovely lady who wanted ultra moisture, all natural and great for afro-mix hair type. It's packed full of luscious milks, butters and silky oils for nourishing Uber Moisture. There is no colorants or fake scent of any kind added. The herbal infusion is the colorants and the fragrance is pure medical grade essential oils of Bergamot and Cassia. My son said it smells Christmas-y. The Cassia is cinnamon leaf and the bergamot is a citrus that is very light. My husband said its like cinnamon graham crackers.

I didn't add them for fragrance but bonus that it makes them smell nice.

I made a lovely herbal infused dense tea for hair and scalp love containing Calendula, Arnica, Coconut Water, Brahmi, Shikaki, Neem, Bhringraj, Slippery Elm, Rosemary, Ashwagandha Root, Horsetail, Hop Flowers, Soap-nut Powder and Raw Local Honey. I then added loads of Pure organic Coconut Cream, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter & Cocoa Butter. That was Saponified with Coconut Oil, Olive Oil Pomace, Castor Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Avocado Oil and a teeny bit of Beeswax. I added Kaolin Clay and pulverized oats to the Bergamot and Cassia Essential Oils. Although I added mostly Bergamot the Cassia definately is the strongest scent I detect after a month. This batch was done Hot process to try and preserve the precious citrus Bergamot and so I could control the time the Butters and Oils were added to guarantee that they remain unsaponified. I was looking to achieve a truly moisture heavy shampoo bar.

They are cut into large 6 oz bars. you will get one bar unless of course you select more : )

These Ayurvedic herbs are infused to help with hair breakage and fallout. They strengthen damage and help with itch and dandruff balance while being healing and nourishing and ultra moisturizing. The huge quantity of BUTTERS and CREAM will be additional moisture.
(Note) although this has all 100 percent natural ingredients, some people experience sensitivities to Cassia or cinnamon essential oils.

When I first started researching shampoo bars I honestly didn’t think it could work for me as my hair and scalp are so finicky and spastic. I have frizzy extremely dry and tangly- wavy hair that is both course and baby fine. I get A LOT of hair coming out in the shower and I get grimy itchy scalp most of the time. I was so convinced I needed specific types of shampoo and conditioner that it was really hard mentally to wean from that. Little did I know that my hair routine was actually causing most of my issues in the first place. I had already thought I was being pretty natural as I never use product or irons and just kinda shake dry and brush.
In researching even the most natural store bought shampoos and conditioners I was floored that pretty much everything contains some pretty intense chemicals, preservatives and damaging ingredients whose intent is to create a need to use often. They give an immediate feeling of loveliness with synthetic sealants which is pretty addicting but soon you need to repeat. They are stripping of natural oils and nutrients, contain toxins and detergents, and often contain ingredients that are responsible for hair damage and fallout & actual hormone imbalances. Sad.
As I am already a crazy soaper and herb obsessive, I decided to start making my own. I made several different types in small batches for myself and family, tweaked recipes and gradually added them into our bathrooms. I didn’t get the weird stress that some people report when weening from store bought stuff so much that it was noticeable. I did my transition so gradually that I never saw signs of weird waxiness or anything that I keep hearing about. Before my first batch was ever cured and ready I just started using my homemade soaps as my shampoo. I used the Rosemary Mint and Tea Tree bar which is wonderful for scalp but I wasn’t used to how squeaky clean my actual hair was so I kept using detangling frizz away type conditioner. I did that routine for a couple of months while gradually adding water to the conditioner to thin it more like a rinse. (Conditioner was hard to give up in my head, haha) I started using my shampoo bars and it was like love at first try. MY HAIR IS SO HAPPY with them.
I switch between them and have since been making a Vinegar rinse that IM SHOCKED to say I love more than conditioner. SHOCKED… REALLY SHOCKED. I’ve always thought of vinegar as drying, dehydrating (pickling?). Apparently it’s very balancing & gives a soothing detangling effect. My first experiment was successful so I stick with a simple recipe of cup balsamic or apple cider vinegar, a cup water, a squirt of aloe Vera gel, a few drops Argan oil and a few drops bergamot essential oil (lavender, rosemary and lemongrass smell lovely too). SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE…. As soon as you shake it the vinegar smell is Gone and you just smell Citrus or whatever essential oil you chose. After your hair is dry the scent is totally gone altogether.
Everybody has different hair and scalp needs. Just my children alone have the most extreme opposites in scalp and hair color and thickness. I have a variety of options to choose from and will list them each as they are available and cured. The ingredients I use are premium, natural and or organic and of highest quality available. I have never used fragrance oils or colorants in my shampoo bars. I pack intense herbal concentrations, premium quality oils, butters and nutrients into each batch.

FAQs

Not available at this time. When I do start I will require the buyer to provide a legal business liscence and shop proof.
Ask me, I will do my best. I love making custom soaps and using new ingredients. I get quite a few custom requests and every once in a while buyer backs out at the last minute, I now require an upfront deposit. Especially when special ingredients are ordered in for a large order with expensive ingredients. Thank YOU.
Without written express consent from me personally nobody, no company, no agency has rights to re-sell my products in any way.
I list ALL ingredients in each description. However I don't share exact recipes or quantities as that is personal.
I have had multiple issues with free sample and just sample requests in general. I will no longer be sending samples by request to people as it creates issues apparently. Samples are gifts included in orders as thank you's. Demanding free items in exchange for good reviews is not something I will participate in.
